How to Become an "Approved" Company

"It has been just over one year since I sat down and enrolled in the Woolsafe on-line program.  I took the course and test, passed it and then our firm, Buffalo Restoration, became a Woolsafe Service Provider.

Thanks to the Woolsafe program we have had many referrals from Interior Designers, Furniture Stores and Rug Dealers.   We have cleaned and protected fine furniture, wool carpets and rugs using WoolSafe Approved products.  Other folks found our name listed on the WoolSafe website.  Just in the month of February 2011 we made three sales with a total of $4000.00 from Woolsafe referrals.

Thanks Ruth, for this program."

Here's How Your Company Can Become a WoolSafe-Approved Service Provider:

Once a company has a least one cleaning technician who has met the qualification requirements as a WoolSafe-Approved Fabric Care Specialist, the company is eligible to become a WoolSafe-Approved Service Provider.

Qualification Requirements:

The WoolSafe Approved Service Provider program is open to the following:

  • Carpet cleaning companies - Independent cleaning companies, which obtain their cleaning equipment and/or supplies from one or more sources and hold IICRC-CCT or CMT certification or equivalent.

  • Carpet cleaning franchisees - Companies using one particular cleaning/maintenance system, which may be a franchised or a licensed system.

  • In-house carpet cleaners - In-house carpet maintenance divisions responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of carpet and rugs in the building(s) their company occupies.

To qualify for WoolSafe Service Provider approval, companies must:

  • offer professional cleaning services on a full-time basis;

  • have employees who have received appropriate technical and practical training in cleaning (e.g. IICRC CCT. CCMT, UFT, RC certification or equivalent)

  • be an IICRC Certified Firm or meet equivalent qualification requirements (proper business licensing, liability insurance, consumer complaint follow-up policy, subscribe to a Code of Ethics);

  • be members of a trade or professional association or organization such as IICRC, including franchises, which is recognized by The WoolSafe Organization;

  • encourage all employees to attend a WoolSafe - Training Course, taught by a WoolSafe - Approved Trainer either in-person or on-line, and pass the course exam
