Coronavirus epidemic - What WoolSafe is doing to help
The WoolSafe Organisation has been helping carpet owners and suppliers with cleaning advice for over 20 years and they, as well as our corporate members, are turning to us for guidance in these unprecedented and challenging times.
As government advice and the general response to the Covid-19 pandemic changes, WoolSafe is still here to offer help and guidance to our members and customers.
As the lockdown eases and businesses return to work, we still have to focus on avoiding the spread of the disease. At the same time, it is very important to keep our homes and workplaces clean and fresh.
In domestic situations, with all the family at home all day during lockdown, carpets have had to bear extra usage. It might be time to have them professionally cleaned to maintain a healthy, aesthetic environment.
We would like to reassure carpet owners that members of the WoolSafe Approved Service Provider’s global network (https://www.woolsafe.org/find-a-carpet-cleaner/) are among the most highly trained and experienced in the industry and have been informed, through a members’ booklet and online seminars, of how to trade safely following Covid-19-aware protocols when cleaning carpets and upholstery.
WoolSafe and CleanSeal Approved Product manufacturers have responded to the increased need for cleaning and disinfecting by developing new sanitising products effective against viruses, including the new SARS-CoV-2 virus. Several of them are WoolSafe approved, meaning they have the power to keep everybody safe without damaging valuable textiles in the home.
